How to get started
Step 1: Book a free 15-minute discovery call
Take a few minutes to connect about your goals, hear more about Songbird OT and see if it’s the right fit for you and your family. You can send us a message and we will e-mail you with available options.
Step 2: Book an initial assessment
A 1 hour in-person session will take place in your home to better understand your strengths, challenges and determine a therapy path that is right for you and will be arranged during your discovery call. Once your appointment is booked, you will be sent a welcome e-mail from our online platform Jane to set up your client profile. You will also receive an e-mail with a link for your Intake and consent forms to complete and return prior to our first session so we can maximize our time together.
Step 3: Book follow-up appointments
Sessions can be in-person or virtual, and the number of recommended sessions depends on a variety of factors including type and number of goals as well client ability and engagement. Typically sessions are planned with the framework of 5 sessions blocks (once a week for 5 weeks) after the initial assessment which will allow appropriate time to introduce, practice, apply and adjust concepts and strategies.
There is complete flexibility regarding session frequency and number, and we will continue to work together to check in regarding progress and planning for future sessions. Clients may have homework activities or additional forms to complete between sessions to support the application of our work together.
